FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (F.A.Q.)


BEFORE YOUR MASSAGE


1.  How much notice do I need to make an appointment?

      The T'Touch  therapist is able to reach you within 60 and 120 minutes depending on your location


2.  Do you offer sex, sensual / tantric / body to body or "extras" during or after the session?

      The massage offered is strictly professional and therapeutic. 


3.  What information do I have to give to book my appointment ?

      In order for us to book your appointment, we need your name, mobile phone number or the best number to reach you, address . All your personal information is protected in accordance with the UK Data Protection Legislation (the Data Protection Act 1998)


4.  How do I pay and when ?

      Payments can be made by cash or card (incl American Express). Please note that we do not accept cheques. 


5.  What if I need to cancel my appointment?

       A strict 24 hour cancellation policy is in operation. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment has a £25 charge, or if you do not show up for your appointment the full appointment fee will be charged


6.  I am running late to my session

     Please let us know and try to arrive as soon as possible.  The time slot until the end time of your session belongs to you.  


7.  Can I eat before a massage?

       We advise that nothing heavy be eaten less than two hour before your massage. However, a small snack not less than  an hour beforehand is ok. 


DURING YOUR MASSAGE


8.  Am I supposed to take off my underwear when I get a massage? Can I go fully naked ?

      Most clients  prefer to keep panties or briefs on during massage.  However, if you wish to be fully undressed the therapist will help you maintain dignity and modesty at all times by ensuring you are properly covered . Only the area being massaged will be uncovered.


9.  I'm self-conscious about a certain part of my body and don't want the therapist to see me. What can I do ?

       People are self-conscious for various reasons. If you're self-conscious about a certain part of your body, please speak to your  massage therapist. You can also ask her to avoid that particular area. 


10.  The pressure is too deep/not deep enough

          Communicate openly with your massage therapist, let her/him know as many times as necessary to what degree you'd like firmer or lighter pressure. Keep in mind however that it's a myth that massage therapy has to hurt to be effective. Some of the most effective types of massage therapy are gentle and do not involve deep pressure or pain. In fact, too much pressure can cause muscles to seize up.


11.  How often should I receive a massage ?

         The answer depends on the reasons for receiving the massage. If a client exercises 4-5 times per week or comes for some injury relief or chronic tightness, weekly sessions for a while is advisable, as this is necessary for the healing and repairing porcess. For those who use massage as preventive care and to manage the daily stress in their lives, once every two to four weeks is about the norm. They may shorten the time between massages during really stressful periods. Some come more often just because they enjoy it that much.
